Wanderlust Guide of the Year 2023

It is a very great privilege to have been asked to put together the video introducing the guide finalists for this year’s Wanderlust Magazine Guide of the Year.

These awards are unique and celebrate the men and women who make travel exceptional.

Well done to all the finalists and to the many hundreds of guides who, while not in the final winners list, received hundreds of testimonials from their guests whose journeys have been made spectacular, special and meaningful thanks to their guide. Guides have a tough job. Anyone who thinks it is an easy job is mistaken. Guides are under constant pressure to be every person to everyone - not only experts in their field, but experts in politics, food, places they’ve never been to, they also have to be comedians, storytellers and best friends.
